A Day in the Life

At Medtronic, you’ll support life-saving surgical technologies by ensuring the right parts are available, tracked, and delivered through the service process.

As a Technician II in our Fort Worth center, you’ll play a critical role in inventory accuracy and product flow—helping keep repairs moving and equipment back in the field. You’ll take ownership of inventory and materials supporting the service and repair of medical devices. You’ll work closely with technicians, supervisors, and engineering to ensure parts and systems are aligned to keep operations running efficiently.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys ownership, problem-solving, and working across teams in a fast-paced technical environment.

Work Environment & Schedule

  • Schedule:Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

  • Hands-on, active role (standing, walking, lifting, packaging, moving between stations)

Compensation:

  • $25.50 hourly + 5% annual bonus target

  • 4 weeks paid time off per year

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Support in-house servicing and repair of medical devices

  • Diagnose, test, calibrate, andmaintainmechanical, electronic, and electromechanical devices

  • Troubleshoot product issues and document findings using established procedures

  • Manage inventory processes including cycle counting, parts tracking, and reconciliation

  • Utilize ERP (SAP) and quality systems (QMS) foraccuratedocumentation and transactions

  • Work from schematics, engineering drawings, and technical instructions

  • Operate equipment, conduct tests, and report results in required formats

  • Support packaging and product flow from intake through shipment

  • Identifydiscrepancies and implement countermeasures to resolve technical or material issues

  • Assess inventory needs and help prioritize daily workflow

  • Prepare data and reports related to product performance and repair trends

  • Present findings or updates to management and engineering as needed

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve issues and improve processes


You’ll gain exposure to technologies such as surgical drills, robotics systems, and electrosurgical equipment while supporting a high-impact service operation.

Must Have (Minimum Requirements):

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience

Nice to Have (Preferred Qualifications):

  • Technical training, certification, or equivalent hands-on experience

  • Experience with inventory management (cycle counting, parts control)

  • Experience using ERP systems (SAP preferred)

  • Ability to interpret technical instructions, drawings, or schematics

  • Experience documenting work in quality or regulated systems

  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently

  • Associate degree or technical certificate

  • Experience in a regulated environment (FDA, ISO 13485)

  • Knowledge of quality systems and manufacturing processes

  • Mechanical/electrical troubleshooting skills

  • Strong technical documentation skills

  • Microsoft Word and Excelproficiency

For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$51,200.00 - $76,800.00This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).The starting base rate of pay for this position and location is $25.50 per hour. The base rate is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
