We are hiring a Service Cashier! This key customer-facing role is responsible for finalizing service transactions, supporting the service department by accurately processing payments, coordinating with service advisors, and ensuring a smooth, positive checkout experience.

Responsibilities

  • Always maintain confidentiality of company and customer information
  • Inspect service repair orders and parts invoices for accuracy and completeness
  • Reconcile repair orders and ensure proper documentation
  • Calculate charges for materials, labor, taxes, and warranty as applicable
  • Collect payments (cash, check, or authorized charge) and provide receipts/change
  • Document charge purchases per office policies
  • Complete accounting sections of repair orders as directed
  • Accumulate and submit all closed repair orders and invoices daily
  • Handle and account for daily cash transactions
  • Return customer keys upon payment and direct them to their vehicles
  • Answer service department calls, transfer appropriately, and take messages when needed

Qualifications

  • Proven customer service experience required, preferably in a fast-paced environment
  • Accounting, cashiering, or related financial transaction experience is a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional demeanor
  • Professional appearance and a strong commitment to excellence
  • Positive attitude with a high level of energy and enthusiasm
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and proactive in completing tasks
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling transactions and payments
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively with service advisors and other dealership staff
