
Position Bus Operator
Classification D1
Evaluated by Director of Transportation
Salary Range Service Salary Schedule Salary based on experience and education level per Putnam County Board of Education salary schedule plus a competitive benefits package to include: PEIA insurance, retirement, life insurance, and free vision and dental insurance.
The School Bus Operator is responsible for operating school buses and other school transportation vehicles as provided by the West Virginia Board of Education.
Qualifications
Holds a Commercial Driver's License, Class B, Passenger and Airbrake Endorsements
Passes the required physical examination
Has three years of experience as a licensed driver
Passes the Department of Motor Vehicles Driving Record Check
Passes the Drug/Alcohol Screening
Completes 40 hours of required classroom training and 20 hours of behind the wheel training.
Holds First Aid/CPR Certification
Holds a West Virginia School Bus Operator's Certificate
Length of Employment 200 Days

Responsibilities The School Bus Operator shall have the responsibilities and duties as outlined in The Putnam County Schools Job Description Handbook.
*Location And Length Of Route(S) May Vary Determined by Coordinator of Transportation Dependent Upon the number and/or location of students requiring transportation services.
