Become a key player in our team as a Service and Breakdown Engineer. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to showcase your engineering skills while maintaining operational efficiency. Your work will directly contribute to maintaining the safety and reliability of our services.
Locations: Multiple across multiple areas, including: NR, CO, CB, IP, postcodes and surrounding areas.
Perform routine service checks and respond to breakdowns promptly to ensure minimum disruption to services.
Diagnose, repair and maintain equipment, adhering to industry standards and safety regulations.
Coordinate effectively with internal teams and external contractors to optimise repair processes.
Implement preventative measures to avoid future breakdowns and enhance system reliability.
Keep accurate records of all work performed and parts used, ensuring transparency and traceability.
Participate in an on-call rota to provide support during off-peak hours where required.
Strong technical experience in heating and plumbing, including servicing fault finding and repair across a range of appliances and fuel types.
Holds relevant industry-recognised gas qualifications and core domestic competencies including: ACS, CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, CPA1, HTR1, MET1, HWSS1, CMDDA1 and WREG
Full UK driving licence
Confident working with Gas Safety, OFTEC and other relevant frameworks.
Accurate record keeping skills
Understanding of the importance of accurate certifications
Organised and self reliant when managing workload and van stock
Clear communications skills
Suburb customer service skills
Desire to continue to develop expertise and remain open to working towards additional relevant qualifications, including the opportunity to achieve a commercial qualification where available
