Job Description

He angitūtanga: The opportunity

For an innovative, collaborative and outcomes focussed person, this role presents a unique opportunity to join the leadership team within the Service Investment and Programming unit. This team works closely with the Customer directorate to help shape the future provision of key services and assets for the communities of Tāmaki Makaurau.

As Service and Asset Planning Team Leader, you will be leading a team of Service and Asset Planners and Specialists to deliver significant projects and programmes of mahi. You will be supporting local boards with quality advice to make decisions that ensure sustainable service delivery for their community.

Your team needs to be collaborative and ensure that they act as a central coordinator so that subject matter experts, iwi and the community have their views incorporated in quality advice. Advice is robust, evidence based and feasible, options are tested and consider future community needs.

This team currently sits in the Policy department in the Policy, Planning and Governance directorate. However, through the Transforming for Tāmaki Makaurau change programme, the Service Investment and Programming unit moves to Group Finance, to form part of the Property Analytics and Optimisation unit in the Commercial and Property department.

This is a fixed term opportunity through until 14 July 2027

A good understanding of service and asset performance, data and research analysis and continuous improvement mindset will be advantageous.

Your great communication and relationship management skills support collaboration and collective achievement between the team you lead and other teams that contribute to our mahi.

Salary: $$122,783 - $144,450 (Band I)
