As Service Advisor, you have a key role in a dealership’s service department, acting as a primary point of contact between customers and the service team. This role is responsible for managing service appointments, explaining any repairs needed, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process. You are to model behaviors and a culture for success including integrity, respect, drive, community, fun and pride without ego, with self-confidence, and creativity.
Job Duties and Responsibilities including, but not limited to:
Advises customers about necessary service for routine maintenance.
Show empathy for customers’ vehicle concerns and provide trust and confidence with addressing their vehicle concerns.
Properly and accurately create a repair order for all vehicle repairs.
Schedule service appointments.
Welcome customers in a timely, friendly manner and obtain all vehicle information.
Refers to service history, inspects vehicles, and recommends additional needed service.
Provides a complete and accurate cost estimate for labor and parts.
Communicates with shop foreman of incoming work
Reviews repair orders to ensure that work is completed, and additional work and authorization is noted.
Keeps service department forms, menus and pricing guides up to date.
Handles all phone inquiries regarding appointments and work in process.
Maintains a professional appearance.
Ensures that customers’ cars are kept clean. Notifies service manager immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle.
Keeps service drive area clean daily.
Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations (i.e. OSHA Right-to-Know), and standards to maintain the legality and business integrity of Dealership.
Maintain safe work environment.
Other tasks as assigned.
