Clean Harbors is looking for a Service Advisor, internally called maintenance Planner, to be located out of Bridgeport, NJ We’re seeking a motivated Service Writer / Service Advisor to join our growing diesel repair team in Logan Township, NJ. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who understands diesel equipment and can bridge the gap between customers and technicians.

  • Maximize operational profit through the use of effective planned maintenance
  • Accountable for the daily preparation of work orders
  • Make parts availability inquiries to vendors and internal procurement team
  • Evaluate internal and vendor estimates
  • Schedule all maintenance for multiple shops in accordance with manpower and shop space availability to minimize maintenance delays and maximize asset availability
  • Will be required to travel up to 10% as needed
  • High school Diploma or GED required
  • 3+ years of experience in a Maintenance Planning or similar role with Heavy Duty Vehicles
  • Project Management experience is preferred
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to professionally communicate verbally all levels and functions of the organization individually and as a team
  • The ability to read, understand and apply technical information from manuals, books, drawings and diagrams is required
  • Proficiency in computer usage is required, including the ability to use the Microsoft Suite to create tables, track data, utilize Microsoft Excel and Project
  • Ability to stoop, stand for long periods, work at heights, feel with hands, reach and lift up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to travel 10% of the time as needed.
