Position Details

Location: Remote – Western Canada (Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba; occasional travel to British Columbia)

Purpose Statement

This position provides sales coverage across the Western Canadian region. The Service Account Manager (SAM) is responsible for representing ANDRITZ Paper Service and Kraft product lines, building strong customer relationships, and driving territory growth. Responsibilities include regular mill visits, customer engagement, territory development, and full lifecycle account support.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Relationship & Territory Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, building and maintaining long-term relationships.
  • Represent all assigned ANDRITZ product lines during every mill visit.
  • Identify growth opportunities by understanding customer needs, objectives, and performance goals.
  • Drive customer retention and satisfaction across the assigned territory.
  • Maintain organized and detailed territory records within the company CRM system.

Sales & Account Development

  • Manage territory forecasts, budgets, and cost controls.
  • Develop and adhere to established processes and workflows.
  • Provide recommendations for process improvements and support implementing new workflows.
  • Serve as a liaison between customers and internal teams, ensuring alignment and resolution of customer issues.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as required.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • B.S. degree in Engineering or 5+ years of experience in the Pulp & Paper industry.
  • Sales experience and existing customer relationships in the region preferred.
  • Knowledge of ANDRITZ Stock Preparation and Paper Machine Service product lines is a strong asset.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop customer trust.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • High degree of organization and detail orientation.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.

Travel Requirements

Frequent mill and customer visits; approximately 80% field travel.

Note: Previous DUI convictions may result in inadmissibility to Canada.

Working Conditions

  • Work performed in office and/or home office environment.
  • Frequent visits to mills and manufacturing facilities with exposure to temperature variations, noise, dust, dirt, fumes, welding equipment, heavy-duty magnets, and industrial devices.
  • Physical requirements include sitting, standing, walking, bending, reaching, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • Must be able to wear required PPE and meet all safety requirements.
  • Tasks may be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.
