Why This Role Matters

The Server role is responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences through friendly, efficient, and attentive service in a fast-paced airport dining environment. This position supports the daily execution of the company’s Mission Statement by providing First Class Service to both internal and external guests. Responsibilities include greeting guests, taking food and beverage orders, delivering meals accurately, maintaining menu knowledge, processing payments, and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout the dining experience. Servers are expected to create a welcoming atmosphere while maintaining professionalism, urgency, and operational standards during every shift.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide First Class Service standards and professional behavior with every guest, business partner, and team member.
  • Treat guests and peers in accordance with company core values and operational expectations.
  • Greet guests promptly and create a welcoming dining experience.
  • Present menus, answer questions regarding menu items, and provide recommendations when appropriate.
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter orders into the POS system efficiently.
  • Deliver food and beverages in a timely and professional manner.
  • Monitor guest tables to anticipate additional needs and ensure satisfaction throughout the dining experience.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of menu items, promotions, specials, desserts, alcoholic beverages, and restaurant offerings.
  • Process guest payments accurately while following all Cash Handling and Loss Prevention procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned sections, service stations, and dining areas.
  • Complete assigned side work duties, including stocking, cleaning, sweeping, mopping, and station preparation.
  • Support team operations by assisting with seating guests, answering phones, running food, or supporting other restaurant areas as needed.
  • Respond appropriately and professionally to guest concerns and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service standards.
  • Maintain current alcohol certification and ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding food and beverage service.
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, leadership, and fellow team members to maintain smooth operations.
  • Perform additional duties assigned by leadership to support restaurant operations and guest satisfaction.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred.
  • Experience handling cash and operating a point-of-sale (POS) system preferred.
  • Ability to work various shifts in a fast-paced, team-oriented, 7-day operational environment.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills required.
  • Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work efficiently under pressure.
  • Self-starter with the ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing business demands.
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude required.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with Guests, Managers, and Team Members.
  • Basic reading, writing, and mathematical proficiency required.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, reach, lift up to 25 pounds, and walk long distances throughout the shift.
