You will greet guests with a smile and ensure they feel valued from the moment they walk in. As an Server, you’re not just making guests feel at home – you’re spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest.

Here’s what you’ll do during a typical day:

  • Follow the hotel's standard operating procedures, service policies, and techniques to deliver a luxury dining experience.

  • Greet guests warmly, present menus, and provide detailed explanations of menu and buffet items, making recommendations as needed.

  • Take accurate food and beverage orders and communicate them effectively to the kitchen and bar.

  • Ensure timely service of food and beverages, following proper sequence and etiquette.

  • Anticipate guest needs, offering refills and replenishments promptly.

  • Assist guests with seating, providing personalised service, and accommodating special requests.

  • Address guest inquiries and resolve any concerns promptly, ensuring a seamless experience.

  • Handle guest complaints professionally and escalate issues to the supervisor or manager when necessary.

  • Possess thorough knowledge of the restaurant’s menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and allergens.

  • Upsell and recommend menu items, pairing food with appropriate wine or beverages to enhance the dining experience.

  • Understand the coordination between the kitchen and restaurant, ensuring smooth service flow.

  • Maintain awareness of daily specials, promotions, and upcoming events.

In addition, this role requires the following minimum qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality training is a plus
  • Proven experience in a similar role in a hotel
  • Excellent communication, grooming, and interpersonal skills
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage
  • Friendly, professional, and guest-focused
  • Able to work flexible shifts
