The Server Assistant is responsible for supporting the front-of-house team, assisting servers in providing exceptional service to our guests. The Server Assistant plays a key role in maintaining a clean and organized dining area, ensuring that guests have a positive and memorable dining experience. Hunter is Concorde Group’s newest venture—an exciting opportunity for those eager to build new relationships and be part of opening a brand-new restaurant. Responsibilities
- Help servers by delivering food, beverages, and other items to guest tables in a timely and efficient manner as needed.
- Clear used dishes, glasses, and utensils from tables promptly, and reset tables for new guests with clean linens, utensils, and condiments.
- Bus tables and assist in the overall cleanliness of the restaurant, including assisting in washing dishes or cleaning work areas when necessary.
- Keep the dining area clean and organized by wiping down tables, chairs, booths and side stations as well as ensuring floors are free of debris.
- Ensure service stations are stocked with necessary items such as napkins, silverware, condiments, and glassware.
- Assist guests with any requests, including refilling drinks, bringing extra condiments, or delivering special requests from servers.
- Maintain open communication with servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff to ensure a smooth flow of service.
- Assist the front-of-house team in setting up the restaurant.
- Assist staff in maintaining and stocking supplies including: retrieving ice, polishing cutlery, running food, and clearing tables.
- Follow all health and safety regulations, ensuring cleanliness and proper sanitation in the restaurant.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a food service or hospitality role is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of dining room and service procedures and functions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Strong verbal communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be able to multitask and stay organized during busy times.
- Ability to stand, walk, and carry heavy items (such as trays or large stacks of dishes) for extended periods, up to eight hours.
- Ability to receive feedback and absorb training in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and cleanliness standards.
- A positive and enthusiastic attitude with a passion for helping others.
- Basic math skills, can handle money, and operate a point-of-sale system.
- Valid liquor service certification obtained within 30 days of starting.
- Must be over 18 as alcohol service and open scheduling availability is a requirement.
