Job Description

The server assistant plays a vital role in ensuring seamless service by supporting servers and maintaining a clean organized dining environment. This position is responsible for assisting with table setup, clearing and resetting tables, refilling beverages, and delivering food items.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Ensures dining areas are clean, stocked, and well maintained before, during and after services.
  • Upholds all health, safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Maintains a smooth flow of service by clearing, cleaning and resetting tables efficiently.
  • Deliver food orders promptly and correctly ensuring proper presentation and accuracy.
  • Communicates effectively to ensure timely, accurate and satisfactory service.
  • ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Preferred Degree: High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Certificate(s) or License(s): None
  • Years of experience: 0

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

  • None

HYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Regularly stands, walks, and lifts up to 50 lbs.

Seldom/Never sits, or does computer work.

INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT

Performs duties within scope of general company policies, procedures, and objectives. Analyzes problems and performs needs assessments. Uses judgment in adapting broad guidelines to achieve desired result. Regular exercise of independent judgment within accepted practices. Makes recommendations that affect policies, procedures, and practices.
