Job overview

The server assistant is a crucial role within the operation. The position is responsible for supporting servers in multiple ways to ensure a long lasting positive experience for guests. Server assistants buss tables, polish silverware and glassware. Also assist in serving food and beverages with care and other tasks as assigned by management. The server assistant helps clean and sanitize all work areas, as well as practicing safe food handling.

Your day-to-day

• Greet customers upon arrival to the restaurant.
• Provide gracious and professional food and beverage service in an efficient manner.
• Maintain regular attendance in compliance with LodgeWorks standards.
• Clear and clean tables as guests leave.
• Set tables throughout the shift when applicable.
• Ensure that the serving station is always clean and well-stocked.
• Support other areas or roles when necessary.
• Be knowledgeable of the menu, brands, prices and options, along with promotions and specials.
• Conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times.
• Graciously respond to guest concerns or requests, and report the situation to the Manager.
• Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
• Execute daily side work with enthusiasm and motivation.
• Serve alcoholic/nonalcoholic beverages in accordance with federal, state, local and company regulations.
• Complete any other tasks as requested by management.
