The Server & Applications Engineer (III) designs, implements, and maintains the Osage Nation’s enterprise applications, server, storage, and critical business application platforms. This role bridges traditional infrastructure engineering with application lifecycle management to deliver reliable, secure, and high-performing services across all Nation facilities and sites. The Engineer ensures a resilient voice, video, and data environment targeting five-nines availability (99.999% uptime) while communicating status and remediation progress to IT leadership and executive stakeholders.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, or related field.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise systems management and implementation
- Strong Administration experience with Windows Server/Linux, VMware or Hyper-V, Active Directory/Azure AD, DNS/DHCP, and Group Policy.
- Scripting/automation with PowerShell (preferred), plus Bash/Python exposure.
- Experience supporting business critical applications and working directly with vendors for upgrades and break/fix.
- Solid understanding of data privacy and retention practices and relevant laws.
- Excellent communication, documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills; ability to prioritize in high pressure environments.
- Service oriented mindset and proven collaboration in a team-based environment.
- Certifications such as Microsoft (Azure/Windows Server), VMware VCP, CompTIA Server+/Network+/Security+.
- Experience with automation/configuration tools (SCCM/Intune, Ansible, Terraform).
- Database familiarity (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL) for application support contexts.
- Exposure to DevOps practices (CI/CD, containers, Git) for application delivery and maintenance.
- Project management experience and vendor management for multi-department implementations.
- On-call and after hours work for maintenance windows and service-down events.
- Work in variable field conditions (crawlspaces, attics, suspended ceilings) and construction environments; occasional loud server room noise.
