Server | Abeja Winery (Seasonal + Tips!)

The Kitchen at Abeja is located on a beautifully restored century-old farm in the rolling foothills of the Walla Walla Blue Mountains. The 49-acre site is home to the celebrated Abeja Winery, Inn at Abeja, and The Kitchen at Abeja. The Kitchen at Abeja celebrates diverse cultural roots and takes inspiration from leading American and European culinary concepts. We are committed to exceptional food that is expertly prepared by mastering the art of simplicity. We continually pursue superior, seasonal, regional products as we cultivate the relationship between farmers and the chef.
We’re looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Server who thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings a team-first approach to every shift. The ideal candidate is passionate about food and hospitality, maintains a positive and professional attitude, and is eager to learn and grow while delivering exceptional guest experiences.
The Perks:
• Hourly Pay: $17.13
• Eligible for participation in tip pooling

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Take orders and serve food and beverage items to guests in accordance with established standards
• Enters orders into a computerized Point of Sale system and communicates any special requests to the culinary team
• Assembles food items, such as appetizers, salads, and soups
• Ensures attractive, consistent presentation of food and beverages
• Ensures that all food and beverage items are served at the correct temperature
• Maintains current knowledge of food and beverage offerings, including menu changes and sold-out items
• Processes guest payments, using proper accounting and cash handling procedures
• Keeps work area, including guest dining area, clean and organized
Requirements:
• Must be 21 years of age or older to comply with alcohol service regulations
• Passion for the “farmer-to-table” philosophy and a deep appreciation for local farms, produce, and ingredients
• Previous experience as a server in a similar restaurant environment
• Ability to perform essential functions on the computerized Point of Sale system
• Working knowledge of dining and beverage service procedures
• Working knowledge of applicable liquor laws and regulations
• Necessary State Food Handler’s License(s) and Liquor Serving Permit(s)
