About this Opportunity

The Richmond Country Club (RCC) is recruiting an Hourly full-time/ part-time Server to join our Food & Beverage team. The candidate would report to the Food and Beverage Director/ Restaurant Supervisor and collaborates with the Catering Manager. You will work as a cohesive crew with the culinary team to deliver exceptional service to the membership.

What are we looking for and what can you bring to the table?

The Server role duties are:

  • Being responsible for providing exceptional, consistent, and courteous customer service to the RCC members and guests
  • Employing a strong understanding of food and beverage menu offerings
  • Assisting colleagues throughout service, including opening, and closing duties, as well as supporting the flow of service
  • Serving and clearing food and beverage by maintaining consistency in service standards
  • Understanding of event orders, and a familiarity with event set up and service in accordance with event standards
  • Ensuring standards for cleanliness, and presentation are met for all set ups and food and beverage service
  • Setting up the floor while maintaining floor layout, including arrangement of tables, linen, chairs, place setting, buffets and any other guest requirements as required.
  • Developing a familiarity with Jonas Point of Sales Software
  • Teamwork and cooperation especially with the back of house culinary staff and all front of house staff where relevant, such as during events, meetings and banquets

  • Knowledge of proper service etiquette - Club experience is an asset
  • Preferrable environment: experience in casual fine dining

  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Flexibility to meet work shift demands including holidays and weekends is essential

Required Licenses/ Certificates/ Skills:

  • Serving It Right
  • Experience with Point-of-Sale software


Shift Availability:

  • Schedule: Day shift/ Evening shift/ Monday to Friday and Weekend available
  • Hours of Work 15 to 32 hours per week, flexible shifts
  • Flexibility:
    Flexible to work weekends and holidays
  • Start Date: As soon as possible
  • This position has potential to be year-round. The individual must be flexible to work weekends and holidays; and would work 40 hours/week during the peak season.

The Operations:

The RCC clubhouse features kitchen facilities, two restaurants, and an outdoor patio and dining facility.

The F&B department is comprised of two food and beverage outlets and catering for events. As a private club we provide a quintessential dining destination, with our Macan's restaurant, and a relaxing, casual setting within Aces.
