Job Description

Pay Range: $21.12 - $21.63 per hour (depending on experience)

Job Type: Part-Time, Non-exempt

Shift and Schedule:

  • Multiple Shifts Available:
    • Saturday - Wednesday (6:30AM - 11:00AM), OR
    • Thursday - Sunday (3:30PM - 7:45PM), OR
    • Wednesday – Sunday (3:30PM – 7:45PM)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Server or senior facilities experience is preferred
  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
  • Proficient in written and verbal English

What are the Qualifications?

  • Must undergo a Physical exam, Tuberculosis Screening, resulting in a negative TB diagnosis prior to employment, and Influenza Vaccination (required during flu season: September to March)
  • Must obtain clearance or exemption approval from the Department of Social Services following FBI and DOJ livescan background check prior to employment

What Will I Be Doing?

  • Provide exceptional dining service, ensuring each resident's dietary needs and restrictions are met. Engage with residents and guests, answering questions about menu items and providing assistance as needed
  • Set tables and maintain cleanliness and organization in dining areas following the kosher cuisine
  • Maintain clean, orderly and safe kitchen and dining room environment by ensuring proper storage of equipment, food and accessories. Handle food and beverage to meet the health department and RCFE (title 22) expectations
  • Assemble and deliver trays and “to-go” meals, ensuring they are presented attractively
  • Clear dishes and utensils from tables during and after meal service, ensuring a tidy dining environment
  • Work closely with kitchen staff to communicate special requests or dietary restrictions

As part of the network of Jewish community services, the Agency helps promote Jewish continuity through the provision of preventive, educational, therapeutic and supportive services, within the context of historic Jewish values, emphasizing inter-generational ties and community responsibility.
