PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least three year of beverage serving experience in a high-volume bar or full service restaurant, preferably with French Fine Dining Restaurant Experience.

  • Working knowledge of POS systems

CERTIFICATE/LICENSE: Serve safe, alcohol awareness, and any other as required

MAJOR JOB DUTIES: Duties include, but are not limited, to the following:

  • Provides prompt, exceptional, courteous, friendly service to guests that differentiates us from the competition
  • Provides quality service to both internal and external guests, specifically maintaining established quality standards for timely food and beverage
  • Promotes good guest relations and provides excellent guest response to complaints
  • Ensures complete and consistent communication with management, departmental coworkers, and lateral departments
  • Assists guests with seating
  • Ensures overall cleanliness and organization of work areas
  • Ensures Food & Beverage outlets meet all federal, state, city, county, corporate, hotel, and departmental standards, requirements, policies, and regulations
  • Follows all SOPs
  • Follows company standards of hospitality by making eye contact with every guest, smiling and offering a warm and friendly greeting with the proper verbiage
  • Remains up-to-date on Hotel current events and the details of all food and beverage outlets
  • Maintains a safe and sanitary workplace
  • Maintains all health, safety and sanitation standards at all times
  • Maintains consistent and appropriate accountability for all moneys at the bar
  • Follows proper cashiering and register transaction procedures
  • Demonstrates full knowledge of service bars and keep bars properly organized, stocked, and cleaned
  • Adheres to the proper inventory and stocking procedures
  • Has a complete understanding of all applicable laws and regulations concerning service of alcoholic beverages. (As dictated by the Beverage Department)
  • Responsible for garnishing all cocktails from the bar area
  • Ensures the maintenance and adequate inventory of supplies as necessary to effectively perform job responsibilities, informs supervisors when supplies are low, prepares and submits purchase request as needed
  • Routinely inspects surrounding areas, identifying cleaning needs, potential safety hazards, problems and maintenance or repair needs, and notifies the appropriate individual(s) for proper resolution
  • Serves and prepares food items as specified by management
  • Maintains thorough knowledge of proper food storage and handling and supervises adherence
  • Maintains thorough menu and product knowledge
  • Delivers food accurately and in a timely manner
  • Assists in producing a smoothly and efficiently run operation that meets the highest standards of guest service
  • Accurately places guest Food & Beverage orders, inspects orders for quality and accuracy, ensures correct plating, and serves according to standard
  • Maintains complete knowledge of all in-house services and functions
  • Asks politely for the age-identification of any guest who appears to be under the age of 30
  • Clears tables and ensures the cleanliness and organization of all areas in a timely manner
  • Constantly removes trash
  • Utilizes sales techniques to up-sell and suggestively sell menu items, specials, and beverages
  • Learns and utilizes guest names at every opportunity
  • Completes side work, including stocking product, and cleaning and organizing service areas
  • Enforces guest limit regulations in a firm and courteous manner
  • Assists other coworkers when needed
  • Maintains company-issue uniform in good condition and reports to work in authorized uniform as mandated by organization, including maintaining a clean and well-groomed appearance in compliance with departmental and company dress code standards
  • Maintains communication with management, including checking out at the end of shift
  • Performs related work as requested
