Server

Hula Hut, an Austin treasure located on Lake Austin, combines a vibrant tiki bar atmosphere with Tex-Mex flavors. The restaurant features a diverse menu that includes dishes like tropical salads, fajitas, and signature drinks served in tiki-style glasses. With its waterfront location, patrons can enjoy scenic views while dining on the expansive outdoor deck. The quirky and festive décor, along with the fusion of Hawaiian and Mexican influences, creates a distinctive dining experience at Hula Hut.



As a server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to restaurant patrons. Your primary duties include taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guest satisfaction. Servers play a crucial role in creating a positive dining experience for customers.


Responsibilities:

1. Greet and seat customers in a friendly and professional manner.
2. Take accurate food and beverage orders from patrons.
3. Relay orders to the kitchen and ensure timely delivery of meals.
4. Provide recommendations on menu items and specials.
5. Ensure the accuracy of orders before serving them to customers.
6. Anticipate and address customer needs and concerns.
7. Handle cash and process payments accurately.
8. Maintain cleanliness and order in the dining area.
9. Collaborate with kitchen staff and other servers to ensure smooth restaurant operations.
10. Uphold health and safety standards.

Qualifications:

1. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
3. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
4. Strong multitasking and organizational abilities.
5. Knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods.
6. Basic math skills for handling payments.
7. Customer-focused attitude.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Lift and carry trays of food and beverages.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
