Job Description

Essential Functions:

▪ Perform manual Enzyme Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) and automated ELISA tests using DSX Automated Processor on patient serum samples.
▪ Perform Western Blot tests using BeeBlot Machine.
▪ Perform simple preventive maintenance of DSX, Automated Washer, Absorbance Detector and Beeblot Machine in accordance with standard protocol (daily, weekly, monthly, and annually).
▪ Assist in resolving discrepancies, troubleshooting results, and inventory.
▪ Assist in the interpretation of results of ELISA and Western Blot tests.
▪ Perform and process serum separation if needed.
▪ Make In-house ELISA plates

Additional Responsibilities:

▪ Performs other similar or related duties as required or assigned.
▪ Assures activities are conducted in a safe manner and materials are handled according to safety guidelines.
▪ Assures customer privacy is maintained at all times.
▪ Participates as a team member and is accountable for own work responsibilities.
▪ Assures information is delivered in a manner that is supportive, timely and understandable.
▪ Initiative is demonstrated to proactively diagnose and resolve problems.
▪ Productive work habits are consistently displayed.
▪ Accuracy and quality are maintained for all activities.

Job Qualifications: General Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA’s) required

▪ 9 month Clinical Laboratory Serology Technician training

Education and Experience:

▪ Bachelor Degree in Biology, Chemistry, or related science field
