Job Description

In this role, you will:

  • Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies
  • Seek ways to improve our process by collaborating with the engineering team and operations on new process development, plant process optimization, quality assurance initiatives, day-to-day troubleshooting, evaluation test work and data analysis
  • Assist with the advancement of technology through bench top testing and thermodynamics simulations
  • Collect samples and perform analysis in the processing or water treatment facility as well as in the lab environment
  • Project Management: organizing, scheduling and controlling the cost, and tracking the status of projects relating to plant modifications, expansions, and maintenance shutdowns
  • Report preparation, and formal presentations
  • Create and evaluate innovative ideas and technologies to help improve the way we do business

Requirements:

  • Working towards an Undergraduate degree in Chemical, Process, Mining, or Metallurgical Engineering
  • A valid Class 5 Driver's License or extra-provincial equivalent, without learner's restrictions
  • Able to operate vehicles at our operations, in various weather conditions and terrain
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic industrial work environment with a range of engineering, technical and operational personnel
  • Willingness to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
  • Motivated self-starter with the ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with a capability to communicate complex ideas to all levels
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
