The Opportunity

The SE&OP Specialist at Hitachi, Ltd. plays a critical role in optimizing the supply chain by driving effective Sales, Engineering, and Operations Planning processes. This role is responsible for balancing demand and supply, ensuring alignment across multiple functions, and contributing to strategic decision-making to achieve business objectives.

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Facilitate and support the end-to-end SE&OP process, including data collection, analysis, and preparation of materials for review meetings

  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, engineering, production, procurement, and finance teams to gather demand forecasts, production capacities, and inventory data

  • Analyze demand and supply gaps, identify risks and opportunities, and develop actionable recommendations

  • Develop and maintain SE&OP reports, dashboards, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor process effectiveness and business performance

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to optimize the SE&OP process and implementing best practices

  • Support the development and implementation of forecasting models and tools to improve accuracy and efficiency

  • Communicate SE&OP plans, insights, and decisions effectively to stakeholders across the organization

  • Participate in cross-functional initiatives related to supply chain optimization and operational excellence

  • Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and standards related to SE&OP and supply chain management

  • You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field

  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain planning, demand planning, production planning, or SE&OP roles, preferably in a manufacturing or technology environment

  • Strong understanding of SE&OP principles, frameworks, and processes

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and systems (e.g., Excel, SAP APO, Oracle Demantra, Kinaxis, Anaplan)

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

  • Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders at various levels

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities

  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is highly desirable

  • APICS certification (CPIM, CSCP) is an advantage
