Job Description

At Endress+Hauser, progress happens by working together. As the global leader in measurement instrumentation, with over 18,000 employees we shape the future in the field of process automation. Whether developing and realizing new technology as a team, collaborating to build instrumentation, or strengthening vital relationships with countless global industries, we work to create trusted relationships that help everyone thrive. As a family-owned company, we look beyond short-term moves and work to create a vision that is forward-thinking for our people, our clients, and the world at large.

We are looking for an SEO/GEO Manager (Search & AI Visibility Manager) to join Endress+Hauser Group Services in Reinach, Switzerland, and shape how customers and AI systems discover, understand and represent Endress+Hauser. You will build and advance the foundations that support our visibility across traditional search engines, AI-powered answer engines and emerging AI-driven discovery platforms.

What is the role about?

How do you make sure customers can discover Endress+Hauser when they search for products, solutions and expertise? How can structured data, entities and semantic relationships help search engines and AI systems understand and trust our knowledge? How do you turn search and AI visibility into a managed capability with clear standards, governance and measurable outcomes?

If these questions interest you, this is an opportunity to shape how Endress+Hauser is discovered in a rapidly changing search landscape. You will focus on discoverability architecture, governance and standards, working globally with Digital Product Development, IT, Content Marketing, Public Communication, analytics teams, markets and external partners.

Which tasks will you perform?

You will:

  • Own and continuously evolve the global SEO and GEO strategy, roadmap, governance and performance framework across traditional search engines, AI-powered answer engines and emerging AI-driven discovery channels.
  • Build and govern the foundations for discoverability, including structured data, entity frameworks, taxonomies, semantic relationships and other capabilities that help search engines and AI systems understand Endress+Hauser content and expertise at scale.
  • Define standards and requirements for technical discoverability across digital platforms, covering crawlability, indexation, information architecture, metadata, internal linking, retrieval optimisation and structured data implementation.
  • Establish scalable approaches for managing entities, relationships and domain knowledge to improve discoverability, authority, citation frequency and AI retrieval performance, while creating foundations for future knowledge graph and AI-driven discovery initiatives.
  • Define and monitor performance frameworks covering organic visibility, AI citations, discoverability metrics, authority signals, qualified demand and business outcomes, translating insights into clear priorities and measurable actions.
  • Conduct keyword, topic, competitor, prompt, citation and entity research and translate findings into actionable requirements for product, development, content and communication teams. Monitor emerging GEO, answer engine, semantic search and AI discovery practices and assess their relevance through experimentation and measurement.

What do we expect from you?

You:

  • Have a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Digital Marketing, Business, Communications or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Bring several years of experience in technical SEO, GEO, search architecture, digital discoverability, semantic search or a related discipline, ideally in an international B2B environment.
  • Have strong expertise in technical SEO, structured data, entity optimisation, information architecture, taxonomy design and authority-building strategies, together with a deep understanding of how search engines, answer engines and Large Language Models retrieve, interpret, rank and cite information.
  • Have experience designing and implementing structured data, semantic content models and entity-driven optimisation approaches, with strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills.
  • Are experienced with tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Semrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Sistrix or similar platforms, and can translate complex technical concepts into clear business requirements, standards and implementation roadmaps.
  • Communicate confidently with technical and business stakeholders across distributed teams, are fluent in English, and bring sound judgement, a growth mindset and a willingness to test, learn and adapt while maintaining high standards for accuracy, quality and responsible AI use. German or another language is an advantage.
  • Experience with knowledge graphs, semantic technologies, ontology design, graph-based data models, AI-powered retrieval systems, information-retrieval concepts, APIs, data modelling, automation or technical implementation projects is a strong advantage.

What can you expect from us?

  • We are a family-owned, highly committed company with a sustainable vision and a long-term perspective for our people, customers and the world around us.
  • We promote lifelong learning through versatile training and further education opportunities, internal knowledge transfer and e-learning.
  • We offer a modern working environment with state-of-the-art facilities and ergonomic workstations.
  • We promote employee well-being and family-friendly policies that help our colleagues balance their professional and personal commitments.
