We turn problems into opportunities, and that takes two things:

  • The most powerful GIS technology and solutions.
  • Driven, talented, and passionately curious people.

Here we connect them, and that’s how we achieve incredible things for communities, economies, and for your career.

About the Role

We’re looking for a SEO & GEO Web Content Senior Specialist to improve how Boustead Geospatial’s websites are found, understood, and chosen across search engines and AI-driven discovery. This role is perfect for someone who brings together a deep understanding of web content best practice, hands-on experience in SEO/GEO optimisation and strong UX/UI thinking to improve how content performs online.

Reporting to the Digital and Operations team, you will work very closely with the Integrated Communications team to shape and optimise content for the web. You’ll help ensure content is not only well written and on brand, but also structured for usability, discoverability and engagement. From improving page layouts and user journeys to applying SEO, GEO and content design best practices, you’ll play a key role in making our digital experiences more intuitive, visible and effective.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working across content, digital and stakeholder teams to lift the quality of web experiences and influence how content is created for a modern digital environment.

SEO, GEO/AEO Strategy and On-site Execution

  • Optimise website content using best practice in SEO, GEO and content design to improve discoverability, engagement and conversion.
  • Review and uplift page structure, headings, metadata, internal linking and on-page copy to support search intent and user needs.
  • Partner with the Integrated Communications team to adapt and refine content so it performs effectively in a web environment.
  • Identify content improvement opportunities through analytics, search insights and performance data.
  • Help establish and maintain web content standards, templates and optimisation guidelines.

Website experience and stakeholder support

  • Make recommendations to improve user journeys, page effectiveness and conversion pathways across the website.
  • Support the creation of web experiences that are accessible, intuitive, on brand and aligned with audience expectations.
  • Apply UX/UI and usability best practices to improve page layouts, navigation, readability and overall user experience.
  • Review existing pages and new web content to ensure they meet digital best practice for both experience and performance.
  • Work with digital and technical stakeholders to help translate business and user needs into effective web outcomes.

About You

You are a detail-oriented, digitally minded content professional with a passion for creating clear, effective, and high-performing web experiences. You combine strong writing capability with a practical understanding of SEO, GEO, and digital marketing, enabling you to create content that performs for both users and the business.

What we need from you:

  • 4+ years in web content, SEO, digital copywriting, content design, or website optimisation (B2B/tech/agency experience is a bonus).
  • Experience writing website copy, landing pages, CTAs, forms, navigation labels, and microcopy.
  • Good understanding of UX principles, usability, information architecture, and web content best practice.
  • Strong understanding of SEO fundamentals, including keyword research, intent mapping, on-page optimisation, internal linking, and content architecture.
  • Practical experience applying GEO/AEO techniques to improve performance in AI-assisted search.
  • Hands-on experience using CMS platforms (WordPress, Drupal, Contentful, AEM, Sanity, etc.).
  • Experience with tools such as Google Search Console, analytics platforms, Hotjar, or similar to diagnose performance and prioritise improvements
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications, digital media, journalism, or a related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong stakeholder skills and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Bonus: experience with component-based websites, design systems, or structured content models.
  • You must hold current permanent and full-time working rights in Australia.
  • Attitude and behaviour align with Esri Australia’s core values.

About Esri Australia

When you look at your business data through a geographic lens you gain a more profound understanding of the strengths, weaknesses and challenges contributing to your company’s current circumstances.

Beyond the benefits of displaying your business data in an easy-to-decipher visual format, GIS technology facilitates the integration of disparate datasets – unleashing insights that would otherwise remain concealed in disconnected tables and spreadsheets.

Using the single element of ‘location’, this remarkable technology has the power to connect an extensive range of file formats – ranging from CSV and Excel files to full motion video and everything in between.

Esri Australia is the exclusive local distributor of the world’s leading GIS software – the ArcGIS platform.

Over more than four decades, Esri Australia has amassed an impressive track-record of achievement. Today, we serve more than 1,000 of the nation’s leading government agencies and commercial enterprises, and count amongst our technology partners the world’s most innovative system integrators.

Amongst the significant programs of work undertaken by Esri Australia in recent years is the development of leading-edge applications across: federal, state and local government; media; oil and gas; national security; agribusiness; financial services; and retail – to name just a few.

So, whether you are a long-term user and advocate of geospatial technology or a curious observer of applied geography – we invite you to connect with our team of ArcGIS professionals.
