Where and how you can work

Alongside our global campuses, we also collaborate with talented contractors and freelancers from all over the world to help us achieve our crazy big goals. While we support flexible, remote-friendly ways of working, for this role we’re focusing on Mexico City, Mexico, so we can best support our teams and keep collaboration flowing.

This role is a 12-month engagement, working full-time hours.

What you’d be doing in this role

As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve.

At the moment, this role is focused on:

  • Creating and optimizing SEO content tailored to Spanish-speaking (Mexico) audiences
  • Identifying growth opportunities through keyword research, competitor analysis, and local insights
  • Partnering with designers, writers, and localisation teams to deliver high-impact content
  • Tracking performance and continuously improving rankings, traffic, and conversion
  • Supporting SEO strategy execution with the Country Lead and global teams
  • Using AI tools to scale workflows and improve efficiency

You're probably a match if:

  • You’re fluent in Spanish (Mexico) and comfortable working in English
  • You have experience in SEO content with proven results in rankings and traffic growth
  • You’re comfortable with tools like Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, or similar platforms
  • You balance execution with strategic thinking and prioritisation.
  • You’re collaborative, proactive, and thrive in fast-moving environments
  • You’re curious about AI tools and how they can improve productivity

About the team

The International SEO team at Canva is responsible for improving SEO performance across our logged-out pages in 40+ markets worldwide. Our mission is simple: help every user around the world discover Canva. We're a global team of specialists spanning keyword research, technical SEO, content strategy, outreach, engineering, data analytics, and operations — combining proven frameworks with deep local market expertise. You'll work closely with the SEO Country Leads across priority markets, with plenty of room to grow as the team and the scope expand.
