SEO & AI Search Specialist
Location: Onsite 5 days in Redlands

Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced SEO & AI Search Specialist to support and scale enterprise-level search optimization initiatives across a large and complex digital ecosystem. This is a hands-on SEO role requiring strong technical SEO expertise, SEO strategy, data analysis, content optimization, and knowledge of AI search and generative engine optimization (GEO). The specialist will identify opportunities, analyze performance, develop recommendations, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support implementation.
The ideal candidate has experience optimizing large-scale websites and can independently manage SEO projects with minimal oversight. Candidates must be able to translate complex technical and analytical findings into clear, actionable recommendations for developers, content strategists, and marketing stakeholders.
Develop and execute SEO strategies to improve organic search visibility, traffic, engagement, and business outcomes.
Conduct technical SEO audits to identify and resolve issues related to crawlability, indexation, site architecture, and performance.
Analyze and optimize internal linking structures to improve content discoverability and strengthen semantic relationships across websites.
Conduct advanced keyword research, topic analysis, and AI prompt research to identify high-value content and optimization opportunities.
Analyze organic search performance using Google Search Console, Semrush, Adobe Analytics, and other SEO platforms to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
Support SEO initiatives across WordPress websites by identifying technical issues, prioritizing fixes, and collaborating with developers on implementation.
Manage local SEO initiatives, including Google Business Profile optimization and listings management, to improve local search visibility and accuracy.
Optimize customer stories, case studies, and other marketing content to improve search visibility and engagement.
Support additional SEO and AI search initiatives as business needs evolve.
Familiarity with generative AI search behavior, AI answer engines, and optimization for large language model (LLM)-driven discovery and citation.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for reporting, data analysis, and performance tracking.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, with the ability to clearly communicate SEO and AI-driven insights and recommendations.
Experience working with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).
Experience with local SEO and Google Business Profile management.
Knowledge of content strategy and content marketing best practices.
6+ years of professional SEO experience in enterprise or large-scale digital environments.
o Experience optimizing large-scale websites containing tens to hundreds of thousands of pages, multiple subdomains, or international websites.
Strong understanding of technical SEO fundamentals, including: Crawlability and indexation , Site architecture ,Structured data and schema markup Redirect strategy ,Core Web Vitals
Experience developing and executing SEO strategies, conducting keyword research, identifying optimization opportunities, and prioritizing recommendations based on business objectives.
Hands-on experience with SEO platforms and analytics tools, including: Google Search Console, Semrush ,Google Keyword Planner ,Screaming Frog, Adobe Analytics
Experience optimizing WordPress websites, including managing SEO elements such as internal linking and structured data.. -Familiarity with WordPress SEO plugins, such as Yoast SEO.
Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into business recommendations.
Experience collaborating with developers, content creators, and UX teams.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical SEO findings into clear, actionable recommendations for developers, content strategists, and marketing teams.
Ability to independently manage assigned projects, prioritize tasks, and deliver recommendations with minimal supervision.
This is a Contract position based out of Redlands, CA.
The pay range for this position is $41.00 - $50.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
