Job Summary:

We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented SEO & AEO Analyst to join our SEO & Content Marketing team. In this role, you will work closely with the SEO & Content Marketing leader and cross‑functional partners. The SEO & AEO Analyst plays a critical role in supporting organic search performance, analytics, and insights across multiple brands. This position is responsible for gathering, analyzing, and synthesizing data from enterprise analytics tools to evaluate organic search performance, uncover opportunities, and support content strategy. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical thinking, familiarity with SEO/AEO platforms, and an ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations.

This role also monitors emerging online conversations on platforms like Reddit to identify trends, customer questions and brand opportunities. The SEO & AEO Analyst partners closely with cross‑functional marketing teams to ensure insights influence campaign strategies, content planning, and customer journeys.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

• Analyze organic search performance across GA4, Adobe CJA, BrightEdge, and related platforms to uncover trends, insights, and opportunities.
• Create dashboards, recurring reports, and ad‑hoc analyses that summarize key metrics for organic search traffic, engagement, conversions and visibility.
• Conduct keyword gap analysis, competitor monitoring, and performance reviews across Reliant, Direct Energy, and Green Mountain Energy.
• Identify structured data and schema opportunities and partner with the web team on implementation to improve AEO visibility.
• Monitor Reddit and other online communities to identify trending topics, audience questions, and new content opportunities.
• Summarize online sentiment insights and translate them into SEO and content recommendations.
• Collaborate with analytics, paid media, content, and brand teams to align SEO insights with broader marketing strategies.
• Assist in identifying content gaps and underperforming pages to support optimization and refresh cycles.
• Contribute to AI‑informed recommendations that enhance visibility, relevance, and engagement across channels.
• Use AI to identify search intent patterns, topic gaps, and semantic opportunities at scale.
• Provide analytical support to personalization stakeholders by evaluating content performance, metadata quality and audience behavior patterns that inform personalized journey planning.
• Maintain awareness of search engine updates, industry changes, and emerging SEO best practices.
• Support the SEO & Content team with ongoing tasks and evolving business needs.

Working Conditions:

• Hybrid 4 days/week in the Houston office
• Open office environment
• Occasional overtime as needed

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field
• 3 – 5 years of experience with SEO platforms such as GA4, Adobe Customer Journey Analytics, and BrightEdge
• Strong comfort working with data, spreadsheets and reporting tools
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Hands‑on experience with AEO tools or structured data implementation
• Experience analyzing Reddit conversations or online community behavior
• Familiarity with SEO methodologies, keyword analysis, and competitive research
• Basic understanding of HTML and web publishing
