The Opportunity:

As a CACI-SOFETOPS Sensitive Activities Training Specialist, you will deliver expert instruction on SOF SA core competencies. You will serve as an instructor/trainer by leveraging academic, operational, intelligence, and analytical skills to build operationally relevant training scenarios and professional development pathways that enhance 1st SFC(A) GX and ARSOF CSU capabilities for conducting SA. The Training Specialist advises on the updating and/or creation of Joint and ARSOF doctrine, policies and procedures to support ARSOF SA training, certification, and employment. You will support Operational Readiness Exercises across the spectrum of SA to enhance effectiveness of deployed ARSOF forces for the conduct of SA and its core competencies. You will conduct training needs assessments and collaborate with operational units to identify capability gaps and develop tailored instruction that addresses evolving SA requirements and operational lessons learned. You will be required to maintain expertise in current SA tactics, techniques, and procedures through continuous engagement with the intelligence community, operational forces, and interagency partners to ensure training content reflects the contemporary operational environment.

Responsibilities:

Other duties include but are not limited to:

  • Serve as Lead Instructor/Trainer for SOF SA related instruction as requested.
  • Provide expert instruction on SA core competencies.
  • Analyze multi-domain intelligence to assist in training, manning, and equipping ARSOF in SA pathway development.
  • Leverage and deliver the tools, expert analysis, and training resource development required to provide timely, relevant, and achievable training methodologies to inform decision-makers and influence outcomes.
  • Teach, coach, and mentor supported SOF unit intelligence and operational personnel to integrate these activities in plans.
  • Supervise other Analysts, Planners, and Integrators in the development of a range of operations and intelligence products as well as material and training solutions.
  • Maintain readiness and availability to respond to emergent situations outside of normal business hours.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Current Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security clearance.
  • Former Intelligence Case Officer or Special Operations field grade officer, warrant officer, or senior non-commissioned officer with a minimum of 12 years’ recent experience conducting Sensitive Activities and 4 or more years managing SA in the IA or SOF.
  • Candidate must be a graduate of an IA Category 1 Collector producing course or be an Advanced Special Operations Training Course (ASOTC) (or equivalent) graduate; Special Warfare Training Course (SWTC), Jedburgh Individual Training Course (JITC) or ASOT Manager’s Course graduation is preferred.
  • 3 or more years of instructor experience at SWCS (ASOTC) or Interagency equivalent.
  • Graduate of the SOF Instructor Course or service equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting, supporting, and/or managing sensitive activities and the Joint Planning Process is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written; possess the ability to organize and deliver verbal and written products that achieve an exceptionally high standard.
  • Critical and conceptual thinking skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently with limited oversight or as part of a diverse team.

Desired:

  • More than 10 years of SA operational experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 6 years of specialized experience; OR 10 years of specialized experience.

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
