Rockstar is recruiting for an agentic AI platform company that automates enterprise accounting. They are building a system that handles high-volume financial data, complex accounting workflows, and robust executions that must be accurate and reliable. As a senior/staff engineer, you will be driving initiatives with broad business and technical impact. This role is not tied to a single area - senior/staff engineers at the company help solve its most important and complex problems.

Notable Challenges Include:

• Building agentic systems that power real-world enterprise accounting automation
• Scaling the platform to support growing enterprise workloads
• Architecting a durable and scalable financial data processing layer
• Building the infrastructure that powers the agentic systems
• Solving intricate accounting workflows through clean and robust abstractions

You’ll own major product and engineering areas and get to work closely with customers. Beyond technical excellence, the company values engineers who are curious and take initiative.

What We're Looking For

• Typically 5+ years building systems at high-growth companies.
• Strong familiarity with web development, relational databases, and distributed systems.
• Experience with AI agents, data pipelines, mission-critical systems (e.g. fintech), or complex workflow engines is a strong plus.
• Loves in-person culture, 5 days a week in office in downtown San Mateo.
