Senior/Staff Projektingenieur (m/w/d) R&D

Als Senior- (Staff) Projektingenieur sind Sie Teil des CMF-R&D-Teams und unterstützen durch unsere Produktentwicklungen unsere Kunden und deren Teams dabei, bei Patienten auf der ganzen Welt Form & Funktion wiederherzustellen und Hoffnung zu stiften.

Zusammen mit unserem Team sind Sie für die Konzeption, Entwicklung, Prüfung und Betreuung der physischen Komponenten (Implantate) eines Systemprodukts für die Mund-Kiefer-Gesichtschirurgie verantwortlich.

Unser Angebot an Sie

• In Ihrer Rolle als Systemingenieur sind Sie Teil unseres interdisziplinären R&D Teams für patientenspezifische Lösungen in der Mund-Kiefer-Gesichts Chirurgie.
• Sie begleiten Entwicklungsprojekte von der Ideengenerierung über die Prototypenrealisierung bis hin zur Serienfertigung und übernehmen dabei eigenständig die Bearbeitung von Teilprojekten des Hardware-, Software und/oder Systembereichs.
• Sie übersetzen klinische Anforderungen in System-, Hardware- und Software-Anforderungen und stellen damit die Schnittstellenkommunikation zwischen den verschiedenen Teams sicher.
• Sie unterstützen bei der Planung, Steuerung und Durchführung der Integration von Hardware- und Softwarekomponenten zu einem Gesamtsystem
• Ebenso unterstützen Sie die Planung und Durchführung der Verifikation und Validierung auf Systemebene
• Sie planen und koordinieren Produktsicherheits- und Leistungstests in Zusammenarbeit mit dem biomechanischen Testlabor durch und unterstützen bei der Designvalidierung beim Kunden und der Produktfreigabe.
• Sie übernehmen selbständig einen Großteil der Dokumentationsarbeit im Hardware- und/oder Software-Bereich.
• Sie fungieren als wichtiger und kompetenter Ansprechpartner für den TechLead des Projekts und andere wichtige Stakeholder (z.B. Prozessentwicklung, Fertigung, Biomechanisches Testlabor, Marketing, Qualitätssicherung sowie Regulatory Affairs).

Das zeichnet Sie aus

• Sie haben ein erfolgreich abgeschlossenes Studium der Fachrichtung Medizintechnik, Maschinenbau, Feinwerktechnik o. ä.
• Idealerweise verfügen Sie über 3-5 Jahre Berufserfahrung in der Produkt- und/oder System-Entwicklung im medizinisch regulierten Umfeld.
• Sie verfügen über fundierte Kenntnisse in den Bereichen Requirements Engineering, System Engineering, biomechanische Prüfverfahren, Werkstoffe und Produktdesign
• Sie zeichnen sich durch ein hohes Maß an Selbstständigkeit, kommunikative Kompetenzen sowie eine strukturierte und lösungsorientierte Arbeitsweise aus und haben Freude daran, sich in neue Problemstellungen zu vertiefen und einzuarbeiten.
• Erfahrung in einer stark regulierten Branche, vorzugsweise im Bereich Medizinprodukte ist von Vorteil
• Sehr gute Deutsch- sowie Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift runden Ihr Profil ab.

Bei entsprechender Qualifikation kann die Stelle auch als Staff Engineer besetzt werden.

Senior/Staff Project Engineer R&D

As a Senior (Staff) Project Engineer you will be part of the CMF R&D team, helping our customers and their teams restore form, function and hope to the patients around the world.

With our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing and supporting the physical components (implants) of a system product for cranial and maxillofacial surgery.

What you will do

• In your role as a systems engineer, you will be part of our interdisciplinary R&D team focused on patient-specific solutions in oral and maxillofacial surgery.
• You will support development projects from concept generation through prototype implementation to series production, independently managing subprojects in the hardware, software, and/or systems areas.
• You will translate clinical requirements into system, hardware, and software requirements, while ensuring effective communication between the various teams.
• You will be responsible for the planning, management, and execution of the integration of hardware and software components into a complete system.
• You will also support the planning and execution of verification and validation at the system level.
• You will plan and coordinate product safety and performance tests in collaboration with the biomechanical testing laboratory and support design validation and product approval.
• You will independently handle a large portion of the documentation work in the hardware and/or software areas.
• You will serve as a key and knowledgeable point of contact for the project’s Tech Lead and other key stakeholders (e.g., process development, manufacturing, the biomechanical testing lab, marketing, quality assurance, and regulatory affairs).

What you will need

• You have successfully completed a degree in medical technology, mechanical engineering, precision engineering, or a related discipline.
• Ideally, you have 3–5 years of professional experience in product and/or system development within a medically regulated environment.
• Experience in requirements engineering, system engineering, biomechanical testing methods, materials, and product design.
• High degree of independence, strong communication skills, and a structured, solution-oriented approach to work; you enjoy delving into new problems and familiarizing yourself with them.
• Experience in a highly regulated industry, preferably in the medical device sector, is a plus.
• Excellent written and spoken German and English skills round out your profile.

Germany Pay Ranges:

• Freiburg/Stetten 39Std: €4.692 - €7.855 EUR Monthly
