WELCOMING YOU TO THE TEAM

The Marine Installation Engineering group consists of almost 150 engineers working with marine operations. You will be part of the Cable Laying department, which enables the company in its ability to plan and execute marine installation activities worldwide. HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT

You will work in the Cable Laying department within the Marine Installation Engineering group as a Senior or Specialist Marine Installation Analysis Engineer, with the level of the position tailored to your experience and expertise. You will be responsible for:

  • Installation analysis and technical support for high voltage subsea cables.
  • Automation of analysis and development of internal tools to increase analysis efficiency.
  • Performing analyses throughout all project phases, with the main focus on detailed engineering.
  • Work in multidisciplinary project teams focused on marine installation activities.
  • Collaborating with project engineers to refine procedures and task plans for marine operations based on analysis results.
  • Interfacing regularly with clients and third parties on technical matters.
  • Potential for offshore assignments onboard vessels to follow up installations.

YOUR STARTING POINT

We know that the best candidates don’t always match every requirement listed, but here are some examples of the background and experience that can help you thrive in the role:

  • Degree in a relevant engineering discipline (marine/offshore/ocean technology, naval architecture) or another engineering degree with relevant marine experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in marine operations or offshore installation.
  • Knowledge of and experience with OrcaFlex or similar time-domain analysis tool.
  • Programming skills (Python or similar) for scripting and automation of workflows.
  • Experience developing and maintaining web applications is an advantage.
  • Overview of and familiarity with applicable design codes, industry standards, and legislative requirements.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Creative problem solving — able to suggest and develop new methods and ways of working.
  • Ability to work in a team as well as independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize own work.
  • Understanding of clients' needs and the ability to propose and apply "fit for purpose" solutions.
  • Strong communication skills — able to present ideas and results to diverse stakeholders in written reports, meetings, and presentations.
