Jhpiego is hiring a Senior/Program Coordinator based at NHM Jaipur (Rajasthan) to support the SPM for strengthening the Maternal and Child Health programs in urban Jaipur to support the state for achieving SDG targets. The Program Coordinator will report to Senior Program Officer.

Responsibilities

  • Program Implementation
    • Work under the guidance of the Senior Program Officer to support day-to-day implementation of Urban MNCH initiatives in Jaipur.
    • Support rollout and implementation of priority interventions across Urban Primary Health Centres (UPHCs), Ayushman Aarogya Mandirs (Urban HWCs), and medical college–linked facilities in Jaipur.
    • Assist implementation of Quality ANC initiatives including GDM screening, anemia management including FCM, Prasav Watch, IOT based digital solutions and other related urban health initiatives.

  • Digital & Technology Enablement
    • Support rollout, troubleshooting, and routine functioning of IoT-based diagnostic devices and digital tools across selected urban facilities.
    • Coordinate with facility teams and district officials to ensure effective use and reporting of digital tools.
    • Support testing, implementation, and documentation of technology-enabled solutions while assisting technical/digital team.

  • Documentation, Reporting & Tracking
    • Ensure systematic recording and reporting of ANC and MNCH service delivery in physical and digital formats, including baseline surveys or required rapid assessments in urban area.
    • Maintain tracking of implementation progress, action points, and timelines.
    • Assist in preparation of progress updates, review notes, and summaries.
    • Capture success stories and good practices.

  • Training and Handholding Support
    • Organise and conduct facility-level capacity-building training for staff and on-site handholding.
    • Support organization of district or state level trainings and orientations.
    • Undertake regular field visits to urban facilities (UPHCs and Medical college-linked facilities) and community platforms.
    • Provide first-level coordination support for facility-level troubleshooting.

  • Coordination & Review Support
    • Liaise with CMHO, RCHO, DPM, urban DPM, Facility level health teams – MO, ANMs, ASHAs, nursing staff in medical college-linked facilities and UPHCs.
    • Support organization of program review meetings and follow-up of agreed actions.
    • Act as an operational coordination link between PMU/SPMU, district teams, and partners.

    6 Additional Responsibilities

    • Provide operational, coordination, and documentation support to the Program Officer / Senior Program Officer as required.
    • Undertake additional responsibilities aligned with program objectives and priorities, as assigned.

    Required Qualifications

    • Graduate in Nursing or Postgraduate degree in Public Health, Health Management, Social Sciences, or Master of Social Work (MSW) from a recognized institution.
    • 5-7 years of experience in urban health or MNCH programs.
    • Familiarity with government systems and reporting mechanisms.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Strong coordination and field implementation skills.
    • Understanding of MNCH programs and urban health systems.
    • Ability to support digital health tools.
    • Good documentation and communication skills.
    • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
    • Willingness to undertake field visits.
