About the Foundational Learning Team at CSF
The Foundational Learning team (FL) drives CSF's mission to ensure that all children in India achieve foundational literacy and numeracy by Grade 3.
We collaborate with state and district governments to:
Support state and district administrations in the design and
on-the-ground implementation of State FoundationalLearning Missions aligned with NIPUN Bharat.
Strengthen teacher capacity, academic design, and
monitoring systems to improve classroom practice.About the Position:
The Senior/Project Coordinator will play a key role in collaborating closely with district administration to ensure implementation fidelity of the NIPUN Odisha mission in the district, with a focus on strong governance, data systems, teacher support and capacity building. Project Coordinators will drive the last-mile operations of the FLN mission at the district. This is a high-ownership, field-intensive role focused on improving classroom practices and enabling data-driven academic support and governance systems at block and cluster levels. Project Coordinators will focus on building mission salience, set short- and mid-term goals, strengthen capacity for data-driven decision-making, and undertake micro-innovations that improve student learning outcomes for grades 1-3. The role offers an opportunity to build system capacity, improve the mechanics of education delivery, and ensure effective implementation of foundational learning through strategic, system-level engagement.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to
- Conduct school visits/month focused on classroom observation and teacher practices (2 weeks of field travel)
- Ensure 100% data submission within the specified time using the tech platform
- Track and analyse a set number of schools per quarter to identify instructional gaps
- Support District Leads in facilitating monthly district and block-level reviews
- Track review meeting actions and ensure closure for the assigned blocks
- Support in organising workshops and enabling effective engagement of attendees
- Support 1:1 visits with government officials
- Ensure identification of students lagging every month, and share lists with government officials
- Ensure effective implementation of learning improvement strategies, track progress, and integrate into reviews
Monitor NIPUN Vidyalaya with CRCC/BEOs
Documentation of case studies/month and support the District Lead in sharing these in teacher forums
Required Qualifications, Skills and Abilities
Location:
Requires significant travel to the field (~2 weeks/month).
There may be some travel to the state office in Bhubneshwar
and the central office in Delhi.Compensation: Remuneration will be competitive and depend on the candidate's experience.
