ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a
Senior/Lead React Native Engineer
to own the architecture, release process, and long-term technical health of a reader mobile application built with React Native and distributed via Expo and EAS. You will improve and maintain CI/CD and build automation workflows, manage App Store and Google Play releases, evaluate and implement architectural improvements, and establish engineering best practices through code reviews. This is a platform-focused role prioritizing maintainability, release predictability, and developer experience over feature velocity.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Own the technical architecture of the React Native application;
- Improve and maintain our Expo/EAS build and release pipeline;
- Manage App Store and Google Play releases;
- Improve CI/CD, build automation, and deployment workflows;
- Evaluate and implement architectural improvements as the application evolves;
- Improve application performance, stability, and maintainability;
- Review pull requests and help establish engineering best practices;
- Occasionally implement new product features when architectural work requires it.
MUST HAVES
- 4+ years of experience with
React Native
in production;
- Extensive experience with
Expo
and
EAS Build/Update
;
- Deep understanding of iOS and Android release processes;
- Familiarity with
TypeScript
;
- Experience with push notification patterns and architecture;
- Experience with offline reading experiences and caching behaviors;
- Comfortable diagnosing native build issues and dependency conflicts;
- Experience shipping and maintaining apps through the Apple App Store and Google Play;
- Upper-intermediate English level.
NICE TO HAVES
- Experience with analytics, crash reporting, and performance monitoring;
- Experience working alongside modern React web applications;
- Experience with CI/CD systems such as GitHub Actions.
