The team comprises of managers, senior engineers, engineers and designers that have direct experience of construction projects and operating facilities, as well as exceptional engineering expertise.

The Opportunity

We are now recruiting for a Senior or Lead Document Controller to join us on a 3 month contract basis. You will be responsible for managing, organising, controlling, and maintaining all project and corporate documentation within pxEngineering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain document control systems for projects.
  • Receive, register, track, and distribute incoming and outgoing project documents.
  • Ensure all documents are correctly numbered, formatted, approved, and filed according to company procedures.
  • Maintain electronic and hard-copy document management systems.
  • Monitor document revisions and ensure only the latest approved versions are available for use.
  • Coordinate document submissions between clients, consultants, contractors, and project teams.
  • Prepare document transmittals and maintain distribution records.
  • Track engineering drawings, technical reports, specifications, calculations, and correspondence.
  • Generate document control reports and status updates for project managers.
  • Archive completed project documentation and maintain records for future reference.
  • Support compliance with ISO standards, quality assurance procedures, and client documentation requirements.
  • Conduct periodic audits of document control processes and records.
  • Ensure confidentiality, security, and integrity of project information.
  • Assist project teams with document retrieval and information management.
  • Maintain document registers, master lists, and project databases.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure timely document review and approval workflows.

Minimum Requirements

  • Experience gained within an engineering and projects environment.
  • Proficiency in document management systems (DMS), EDMS, SharePoint, Aconex, Asite, or similar platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of document control procedures and quality management systems.
  • Excellent organisational and record-keeping skills.
  • Strong communication and coordination abilities.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
