Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve preventive maintenance (PM) programs for all production and test equipment.
  • Plan, schedule, and execute periodic preventive maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability and minimize unplanned downtime.
  • Monitor equipment performance, analyze breakdown trends, and implement corrective and preventive actions to improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
  • Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis on equipment, tester, and machine failures; develop systematic debugging and recovery procedures.
  • Coordinate with OEMs and vendors for major equipment issues, spare parts replacement, upgrades, and software updates
  • Ensure all machinery operates within specified parameters and complies with safety, quality, and production requirements.
  • Manage critical spare parts inventory, including monitoring stock levels and ensuring timely replenishment.
  • Support new equipment installation, commissioning, qualification, and validation activities.
  • Conduct equipment capability studies and Gage Repeatability & Reproducibility (GR&R) evaluations for test systems (e.g., interferometers and automated testers).
  • Provide technical support to production teams to resolve equipment-related issues and minimize production interruptions.
  • Prepare and maintain maintenance documentation, records, and reports in compliance with ISO standards and company procedures.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment efficiency, reliability, and maintenance processes.
  • Apply risk-based thinking in maintenance planning and execution to prevent potential failures.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, ISO requirements, company policies, and industry standards.
  • Authorized to stop equipment operation if it fails to meet safety, quality, or operational standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by immediate superior

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, Electronics, or related discipline).
  • Minimum 1 year of working experience in equipment maintenance or manufacturing environment; experience in mass production is an advantage.
  • Hands-on experience in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and automated systems is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance methodologies (PM, TPM, OEE monitoring).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive, hands-on approach.
  • Good computer literacy, including maintenance tracking systems and basic data analysis tools.
  • Able to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and respond to urgent breakdown situations.
  • Adaptable and flexible in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
