We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Executive (open to both Junior and Senior levels) to manage full-set accounting operations. In this role, you will play a critical part in day-to-day financial tracking, retail inventory reconciliation, statutory tax compliance, and financial reporting. Based out of offices in Damansara Perdana and Rawang, you will collaborate closely with retail teams to streamline workflows and maintain financial accuracy.
Full-Set Accounting:
Oversee end-to-end accounting functions, including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), general ledger (GL), and month-end closing processes.
Financial Reporting:
Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reporting packages to ensure compliance with accounting standards and assist management review.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
Assist in compiling annual budgets, cash flow forecasting, and identifying variances to support the strategic financial planning of the retail division.
Treasury & Cash Management:
Monitor daily cash flows, supervise outlet collections, process timely payments, and handle regular cash reconciliations.
Inventory Control:
Partner with the retail operations team to verify stock levels, reconcile inventory balances, and investigate discrepancies.
Cost Analysis:
Track and analyze corporate expenditures to identify potential cost-saving opportunities and maintain strict budget adherence.
Tax Compliance:
Manage regional tax regulatory duties, including the accurate preparation and filing of SST/GST and other statutory financial obligations.
Audit Coordination:
Prepare comprehensive audit schedules and liaise directly with external auditors during annual financial audits.
System Optimization:
Maintain the internal ERP accounting system and implement workflow improvements to enhance reporting efficiency and data accuracy.
Education:
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related professional qualification.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in full-set accounting, preferably gained within the retail, F&B, or fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sectors.
Technical Proficiency:
Skilled in utilizing accounting software (such as SQL and established ERP systems) alongside advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
Industry Knowledge:
Solid understanding of retail transaction processing, cost accounting mechanisms, and inventory management workflows.
Regulatory Expertise:
Strong familiarity with local tax regulations, statutory requirements, and SST/GST guidelines.
Competencies:
Sharp analytical capabilities, exceptional attention to detail, and strong communication skills to align with internal teams and external stakeholders.
