Bruker is seeking a highly capable Senior Field Service Engineer to support our portfolio of XRD, XRF, SC-XRD, and micro-CT systems in Singapore and neighbouring countries. This is a high-impact, customer-facing role focused on technical service excellence, system reliability, and successful customer onboarding through installation, support, and initial training.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Field Service Engineer, your tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Install, commission, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair XRD, XRF, SC-XRD, and micro-CT instruments.
  • Diagnose technical issues, identify root causes, and implement timely corrective actions.
  • Work closely with customers, internal teams, and factory support to resolve complex instrument and application-related issues.
  • Provide initial customer training after installation to support safe operation, basic system familiarity, and a successful handover.
  • Deliver professional onsite and remote service support to ensure a high standard of customer experience.
  • Ensure compliance with all Bruker and customer site safety, cleanliness, and working protocol requirements.
  • Prepare accurate service documentation, reports, and related administrative records in a timely manner.
  • Contribute to service excellence through strong teamwork, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement in field service practices.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical qualification in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in field service, technical support, equipment maintenance, or a similar engineering role.
  • Candidates with fewer than 5 years of experience are also encouraged to apply if they demonstrate strong technical capability, relevant hands-on experience, and the potential to succeed in the role.
  • Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, ideally in scientific, analytical, imaging, or other complex instrumentation environments.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • A customer-oriented, proactive, and self-driven approach to work.
  • Ability to work independently in a field-based role and travel occasionally within the region when required.
