Job Title: Senior Worksite Development Manager
Location: Cape Town, On-site
Contract Type: 6-month contract (with potential to extend)
About the Role
An established and fast-growing organisation in the financial services space is expanding its worksite distribution footprint across South Africa and is seeking a Senior Worksite Development Manager
This is a pure new business (“hunter”) role, focused on securing payroll deduction (stop-order) agreements with large employers. The successful candidate will play a critical role in opening new worksites, enabling downstream sales teams and partners to engage employees.
This role does not involve managing an existing client base — success is measured by the ability to originate, negotiate, and close new worksite opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, target, and secure new worksite opportunities with large corporates, government departments, municipalities, and state-owned entities
- Negotiate payroll deduction (stop-order) agreements and employer administration frameworks
- Secure access to employer environments to enable sales activation
- Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders including HR, payroll, finance, and union representatives
- Navigate complex approval processes within corporate and unionised environments
- Prioritise high-impact opportunities (typically 1,000+ employees)
- Maintain a strong pipeline of new business opportunities across major metros
- Collaborate with internal teams to transition secured worksites into active sales environments
- Develop and execute strategies to grow and scale the worksite channel
Candidate Requirements
Experience
- Minimum 10+ years’ experience in corporate sales, worksite distribution, or B2B environments within financial services, insurance, or employee benefits
- Proven track record of originating and closing new business opportunities
- Demonstrated success securing employer approval and opening new worksites
- Strong experience working within payroll deduction and stop-order environments
- Experience engaging with large employers (1,000+ employees preferred)
