The Senior Workday Financial Application Analyst ensures the reliable performance of ERP systems. This role troubleshoots and resolves any ERP related software, user access or other problems. This position participates in projects to gather user requirements, design, configure, test and implement new ERP functionality. The Senior Workday Financial Application Analyst coordinates new software releases, fixes and upgrades with Workday and technical teams and users. This role recommends new features or changes to configuration/workflows based on user feedback. The Senior Workday Financial Application Analyst is the liaison between IT and Finance/Accounting, focusing on system enhancements, automation, and streamlining. This role participates on various ERP-related committees, including the Master Data Management Committee, the Finance Change Committee, and the Cross Functional Change Committee.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

  • System design/ enhancements based on business need
  • Act as Workday subject matter expert
  • Functional analysis, design, configuration, scripting, and testing of functionality Work with users in defining requirements for new functionality
  • Maintain updates to configuration workbooks
  • Testing Software testing process including test plans, test cases, testing support and break fixes
  • Testing of Workday periodic updates and releases
  • Liaise between FAIS and the business on strategic initiatives. Liaise between FA and external vendors
  • Progression Lead and contribute to Workday projects, enhancements, and optimization opportunities.
  • Evaluate customer needs and make recommendations; suggest improvements to configuration, where appropriate.
  • Lead significant phases of major initiatives (implementation of new modules, enhancements to current modules, etc.)
  • Conduct knowledge sharing/transfer sessions with other users
  • Process Lead and participate in Adoption Planning process, including Workday annual releases.
  • Act as the lead for projects, as assigned
  • Perform Workday administrative functions such as business process requests, tenant configurations, and data loads.
  • Drive the deployment of feature releases and system maintenance
  • Participate on MDM, Finance Change, and Cross Functional Change Committees

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree Accounting - Required
  • 5 years Accounting experience - Required
  • 3 years Healthcare experience - Preferred
  • 4 years Utilizing Workday - as a SME or end user - Required
  • Above average knowledge of Excel - Required
