Job Description

  • Supervise and monitor all on-site utility construction activities, including wet and dry utilities (potable water, TSE, drainage, sewerage, power, telecommunications, and other services).
  • Ensure that the work is executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and method statements.
  • Review and comment on contractors’ shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements related to utilities.
  • Conduct daily site inspections and prepare inspection reports, checklists, and non-conformance reports as required.
  • Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and client representatives to resolve technical issues and ensure smooth project progress.
  • Verify that testing, commissioning, and installation activities meet project and authority standards.
  • Monitor the relocation and protection of existing utilities to avoid service disruptions.
  • Maintain detailed daily records of site activities, manpower, materials, and equipment.
  • Ensure all works are executed in compliance with the approved HSE plan and safety regulations.
  • Participate in progress and coordination meetings and report on the status of utility works.
  • Support the Resident Engineer in reviewing and verifying as-built drawings and documentation for final handover.
  • Provide guidance to junior inspectors and ensure adherence to company quality and safety standards.
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in utilities inspection or supervision within large infrastructure projects.
  • Prior experience on Ashghal projects or similar government infrastructure programs preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS) and Ashghal standards.
  • Familiarity with wet and dry utility systems and related construction methods.
  • Good communication and coordination skills with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Proficient in report writing, documentation, and use of inspection tools/software.
