Job Description


As a Senior Wireless Network Engineer (Cisco), you will:

  • Design, implement, and maintain campus network environments including Wi-Fi, wireless, and LAN infrastructure.

  • Configure and manage Cisco Catalyst 9800 Wireless LAN Controllers (WLCs), including HA-SSO, mobility groups, and AP onboarding processes.

  • Deploy and optimize Cisco Access Points (9120, 9130, 9166) with focus on RF tuning, band steering, and performance optimization.

  • Leverage Cisco DNA Center for network automation, monitoring, assurance, SWIM upgrades, templates, and telemetry.

  • Ensure seamless wireless performance by applying best practices in RF design, roaming, QoS, and network segmentation.

  • Integrate wired and wireless networks, including VLANs, STP, and 802.1X authentication mechanisms.

  • Troubleshoot complex network issues across wireless and LAN environments, ensuring high availability and performance.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support network deployments, upgrades, and ongoing operations.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • 6–8 years of hands-on experience in wireless and campus network engineering.

  • Strong expertise in Cisco wireless technologies, especially Catalyst 9800 WLCs and Cisco Access Points (9120, 9130, 9166).

  • Proven experience with Cisco DNA Center (Assurance, SWIM, Templates, Telemetry).

  • Solid understanding of wireless standards (802.11), RF design, and performance optimization.

  • Strong knowledge of LAN technologies including VLANs, STP, and 802.1X authentication.

  • Basic understanding of WAN concepts for end-to-end network integration.

  • Experience working in onsite, enterprise-level network environments.

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

You Should Possess the Ability to:

  • Design and optimize high-performance wireless networks in complex campus environments.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve advanced wireless and LAN issues efficiently.

  • Ensure seamless connectivity, roaming, and user experience across networks.

  • Work independently in a fully onsite role while managing multiple priorities.

  • Collaborate effectively with technical teams and stakeholders.

  • Apply best practices in network security, segmentation, and performance tuning.
