
Senior Wine Associate – Domaine Le Clos Jordanne
Arterra Wines Canada is Canada’s leading producer and marketer of award-winning, globally recognized Canadian and imported wines. At Domaine Le Clos Jordanne, we are dedicated to expressing the unique terroir of the Niagara Escarpment through exceptional Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
The Senior Wine Associate plays a key leadership role in delivering elevated, educational, and memorable guest experiences. This position supports team development, drives wine education initiatives, and represents the estate both on-site and beyond.
Qualifications
• 3+ years front-of-house winery or hospitality experience (winery retail preferred)
• WSET, Sommelier certification, or equivalent formal wine training
• Strong knowledge of wine, with a passion for cool-climate expressions
• Proven ability to lead by example in a guest-focused environment
Duties & Responsibilities
• Deliver exceptional, engaging, and educational wine experiences for guests
• Conduct structured tastings, including media and industry sessions
• Train, mentor, and support Wine Associates, fostering a strong wine culture
• Assist in developing wine education programs and cultural opportunities at the estate
• Represent Domaine Le Clos Jordanne at off-site events, seminars, and trade functions
• Travel outside the region as required for tastings, education, and brand representation
• Support daily operations including POS use, opening/closing procedures, and inventory
• Assist with special events and elevated service experiences
• Maintain a polished, professional, and welcoming estate environment
Job Requirements
• Smart Serve Certification
• 18 years of age or older
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-focused environment
• Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
• Highly motivated with a focus on guest experience and sales
• Ability to multi-task and problem-solve effectively
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Availability to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends
