What the Role Feels Like

You will provide designexpertiseand technical leadershipfor onshore wind projectsacross the fullproject lifecycle—from feasibility and concept development through detailed design, procurement support, construction, and operational readiness, acting as an advisor tolenders, investors, developers, and contractors.

You willoperateas asubject‑matterengineer forwind, providing rigorous technical input, design assurance, and multidisciplinary coordination, whilebeingsupported byAurecon’s internalteams

What You'll Do

• Projectmanageandsupport(including cost estimation, scheduling, and risk assessment)todeliver technical advisory, owner’s engineer, duediligenceand design services within the windenergy sector for medium to large-scale developers

• Undertake and lead technical studies and design tasks forwindprojects including feasibility studies, concept design, basic and detailed design phases.

• Select and integrate relevant internal specialists(civil,structural, geotechnical, electrical, grid)to deliver successful project outcomes based on project needs and availability.

• Provide technical inputs to CAPEX and OPEX assessments.

• Review OEM andcontractortechnical submissions, specifications,datasheetsandperformance guaranteesfor compliance with project requirements.

• Developscopes of workand managetechnical proposals for moderate to complex engineering projects

• Take full ownership of projects post-onboarding, ensuring client satisfactionunder yourautonomy

• Demonstrate strong management and communication skills while collaborating with clients and internal specialists.

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical,or civil engineering.

• 10 or more yearsofexperience in the utility-scalewindsector.

• Proficiencyin wind resource assessment, turbine technology andbalance of plant,construction

• Understanding grid codes and compliance requirements

• Valid Class 1 New Zealand driver's license and flexibility to travel acrossNew Zealand andAPAC.

• Extensive familiarity with the Microsoft environment, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint;familiarity with CRM/ERM platforms like MS Dynamics is an advantage.
