  • Prepare and maintain project specific safety management plans, contribute to mobilisation meetings, and attend client and project sites when required
  • Conduct audits and site inspections, verify compliance with relevant standards and requirements, and support teams to close out corrective actions
  • Lead incident investigations, identify root causes and lessons learned, and drive timely actions and reporting to prevent recurrence
  • Provide trusted, practical advice to project teams and clients, helping them strengthen systems and drive continuous improvement
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams, clients, subcontractors and regulators to promote proactive WHS and quality management
  • Maintain accurate WHS and quality records, prepare clear reports, and communicate insights and outcomes to relevant stakeholders

About You:

We are looking for an enthusiastic Senior WHS Projects Advisor who combines strong technical capability with a practical, collaborative approach to safety and quality. You will bring:

  • A degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or a related discipline
  • At least five years’ experience in a comparable, hands-on WHS role, ideally within consulting, environmental services or another project-based industry
  • A strong understanding of national WHS regulations, standards and best practices
  • Experience improving WHS and quality management systems aligned with ISO 45001 and ISO 9001, together with demonstrated ability to develop clear, practical policies and procedures
  • Experience working within consulting or project delivery teams and providing practical WHS and compliance advice across the project lifecycle
  • A strong understanding of compliance and accompanying systems to monitor and measure safety outcomes
  • An ability to complete internal auditing and demonstrate risk mitigation techniques
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess WHS and quality issues and develop practical, effective solutions
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines, work effectively under pressure without compromising on safety
  • Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook) & Adobe Acrobat
  • A Return to Work (RTW) Coordinator & Mental Health First Aid qualifications (or willingness to obtain)
  • Willingness to travel interstate and attend client and project sites across Western Australia
