We are looking for a Senior Web Developer with deep Umbraco expertise to take ownership of our web platforms. This role is responsible for maintaining and improving our Umbraco websites, delivering new features, managing upgrades, and ensuring our digital properties remain secure, stable, and high‑performing.

It would be advantageous to have experience in WooCommerce and WordPress websites as well.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development, maintenance, and enhancement of Umbraco‑based websites

• Architect and implement new features, components, and integrations

• Perform Umbraco upgrades (minor and major), package updates, and security patching

• Troubleshoot complex issues across front‑end, back‑end, hosting, and integrations

• Optimise site performance, caching, and content workflows

• Collaborate with design, content, and marketing teams to deliver improvements

• Review code, enforce best practices, and mentor junior developers

• Manage deployments across dev, staging, and production environments

• Ensure accessibility, SEO, and security standards are consistently met

• Work with Azure hosting, DevOps pipelines, and cloud‑based services

Skills & Experience

• Extensive experience with Umbraco 8/9/10/11+, including custom development

• Strong proficiency in C#, .NET Core, MVC, Razor

• Solid front‑end skills: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, responsive frameworks

• Experience with Azure App Services, Azure Storage, CDN, and monitoring tools

• Strong understanding of SQL Server, Umbraco data structures, and caching

• Experience integrating APIs, third‑party services, and custom back‑office extensions

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps or similar)

• Strong debugging, architectural thinking, and problem‑solving skills

• Ability to work autonomously, manage priorities, and lead technical decisions

Nice to Have

• Experience with headless or hybrid Umbraco setups

• Knowledge of Power Platform or Dynamics 365 integrations

• Experience with automated testing frameworks

• Understanding of security hardening and compliance requirements
