Position: Senior Web Developer – OC (Outdoor Components)

Position Overview:

We are forming a passionate group of solution innovators, UX devotees, techies, data scientist's/AI experts, software lovers, AR/VR experts, visual artists, and architects, working in a lean startup concept. We strive to solve complex problems in various domains ranging from industry, energy, mobility and buildings to smart cities by applying methods and principles of data analytics, artificial intelligence, simulations, and interactive visualization.

We are looking for a Senior Web Developer with strong experience in developing, modernizing, and maintaining secure, scalable, and maintainable enterprise web applications. This role is central to our digitalization initiatives in IoT. The ideal candidate should be hands-on with legacy ASP.NET applications, Angular, web application architecture, and modern engineering practices.

Job Description:

  • Design, develop, enhance, and maintain robust enterprise web applications using legacy ASP.NET and Angular.
  • Collaborate with architects and product owners to translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Implement clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices and coding standards.
  • Participate in system design discussions, code reviews, performance tuning, and application modernization activities.
  • Ensure seamless integration between web user interfaces, existing application components, backend services, and external systems.
  • Write and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
  • Maintain code quality using tools such as SonarQube and participate in peer reviews.
  • Work with DevOps teams to integrate CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
  • Collaborate with global teams and support resolution of field issues.
  • Stay current with emerging web development technologies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

What does it take to qualify for this job?

  • Master’s/bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline from a reputed institute.
  • 5–10 years of experience in web application development for enterprise-grade applications.
  • Strong hands-on experience with legacy ASP.NET technologies and Angular.
  • Experience maintaining and modernizing existing ASP.NET web applications while ensuring business continuity and code quality.
  • Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript, with a solid understanding of responsive web application development.
  • Deep understanding of SOLID principles, design patterns, object-oriented programming, and system design.
  • Experience integrating web applications with RESTful APIs, backend services, and external systems.
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including handling large-scale and time-series data.
  • Familiarity with event-driven systems that use MQTT, WebSocket, or Pub/Sub.
  • Knowledge of unit testing, mocking, and test automation frameworks, including end-to-end testing for web applications.
  • Experience with version control systems like Git and platform such as Azure DevOps.
  • Experience in maintaining code quality through code reviews and tools like SonarQube.
  • Understanding of web application security architecture and data privacy compliance (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001).
  • Familiarity with DevOps culture and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).
  • Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in agile, globally distributed teams.
