About the Position:

The purpose of this role is to perform effective maintenance services under Annual Maintenance contract of Metro projects at Hitachi Rail and ensure System upkeep /availability for smooth Metro operations. Role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced Metro environment. This role ensures the reliability, safety, and efficiency of IXL equipment and software, supporting uninterrupted train operations. Position will be based on site locations near to Metro project and candidate should be open to move from one location / project to other based on business requirement.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Ensure the execution of maintenance activities on site in accordance with the contractual KPIs
  • Expert level system support on AMC for routine maintenance and troubleshooting during failure.
  • Perform high level maintenance activities on IXL hardware and software, point machines, Signals etc.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to design/OEM/vendor teams with detailed technical reports.
  • Coordinate with IXL design team to resolve critical issues and root cause analysis (RCA).
  • To conduct analysis of failures, prepare reports, routine business communications.
  • Download regular MLK-II logs, analyze and investigate error & warnings to fix the issues.
  • Ensure periodic changeover of MLK system, ensure proper health of power supply.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of signals, point machines etc of outdoor equipment’s
  • Develop and maintain proper documentation of maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Follow safety precautions, work permit guidelines of Metro rail while working.
  • Ensure safety checks after completing the maintenance or troubleshooting.
  • Perform shift and emergency duties when required
  • This role requires 24x7 support to customers on a shift basis (telephonic support other than normal working hours) and hence night hours working sometimes.
  • Ensure monitoring of the day-to-day maintenance performance and provide technical reporting to the Client.
  • Ensure the availability of adequate stock and repair process activation

Key Experience Preferred:

  • 5+ Years working experience in IXL of Metro / Railways Signaling.
  • Excellent understanding of IXL indoor & outdoor system of Metro rail
  • Strong hands-on experience on various IXL equipment’s such as indoor EI, Point m/c, axle counter, Signals etc.
  • Working knowledge of power supply, and wiring connections etc. used in IXL
  • Basic knowledge of switches and communication networks.
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work under pressure in a 24/7 operational environment

Education/Qualifications Preferred:

  • Batchelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical / Electronics / Computer Science / Instrumentation Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent.
