Our Waste Service is looking for an experienced Senior Commissioning Officer. The role supports the commissioning, procurement, and management of high-value waste service contracts.
The role supports the commissioning and delivery of waste service contracts by working closely with contractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders. It involves preparing tender and contract documentation, analysing information to support decision making and helping to develop practical and cost-effective waste management solutions.
The position also works alongside finance, legal, procurement and operational teams to ensure services are delivered efficiently and remain compliant with procurement, environmental and legislative requirements.
To be successful in this role you will have relevant qualifications or experience in contract and service management. You will also have strong knowledge of procurement and waste legislation and excellent stakeholder engagement skills. The successful applicant will be highly organised, analytical, confident managing contract performance, resolving issues and producing clear reports while working effectively with a wide range of partners and service providers.
