
This Senior Network Engineer role sits within Providence’s Clinical Communications and Voice Services engineering organization and is responsible for the design, operation, and modernization of enterprise communication platforms that directly support patient care. The position goes beyond traditional network engineering and focuses on the reliability, integration, and evolution of systems that enable caregiver communication and clinical workflows across acute and ambulatory environments.
This engineer operates across an integrated ecosystem including nurse call, clinical middleware, operator consoles, contact center platforms, paging solutions, SIP communications, and unified communications. The role carries responsibility for ensuring these platforms are resilient, highly available, and aligned to evolving clinical and operational needs, while partnering closely with engineering, operations, and clinical teams to drive modernization and improve service reliability.
